Person of the Week

Danae Ioannidou was born and raised in Athens. She studied Oenology and Technology of drinks in TEI Athens. She began her career in the production of wine from the Hatzidakis winery, at the Pyrgos of Thira in August 2007. Her next station, where she accuired great professional experiences, was at Domaine Sigalas Santorini in Oia in 2008 and 2009. Her interest in wine production, led her to Mendoza, Argentina (2009), in Cahors, France (2009) and last in South Australia (2010) where she worked as a vintage wine maker. After four consecutive wine periods in just 14 months, she decided to postpone her professional trips to America, Canada and South Africa due to postgraduate studies in France and Spain, hoping that soon after, she will be given opportunities to work on the subject he loves. In her spare time she engages with sports, painting and cooking. Her profile is available on facebook.
